About this work

Description

[The registry was established with a grant from the Lady Tata Memorial Trust in 1940, to provide more accurate diagnostic criteria for lymph node disorders, and to follow up a classification scheme which Robb-Smith had put forward in 1936. By 1946 1500 cases had been studied, and the basis of the 1936 classification confirmed. In addition, success was claimed in training pathologists in improved diagnosis of lymph node disorders].
