Description
Dr Jonathan Miller, a doctor turned theatre and opera director, joins a panel discussing George Eliot's 'Middlemarch', which successfuly combined science and literature, the central character being a doctor who is involved in social medicine. The character of Lydgate was inspired by the great 19th century French physician Bichat who carried our experiments in search for primary tissues.
