Description

A man (Saint George?) is comforting the princess whom he has delivered from the dragon. Both are in 15th-century dress; the man has a sword and spurs but no armour. Near them are a man in armour on horseback (Saint George if he is not the standing man), and an unmounted horse. The battle between Saint George (wearing armour) and the dragon is shown in the left background

Le Saint, vu de profil et tourné vers la gauche, touche les bras de la princesse qu'il a délivrée, et qui est debout devant lui, essuyant ses larmes de la main gauche. Entre ces deux figures est un agneau. Vers le fond à droite est un cavalier armé, avec un drapeau à la main , qui tient le cheval du Saint. Le lointain à gauche montre S. George combattant le dragon. La tablette avec la lettre L est aux pieds du Saint, vers la droite de l'estampe. Cette pièce ne peut avoir été faite que vers l'an 1508. Hauteur : 6 p. Largeur : 4 p. 6 lignes.")
