Notes

Gabrielle Mary Shanahan is originally from Liverpool but now lives near Andover. She was commissioned from Sandwich in 1984 and has worked in the forces all her life. Retired in 2007. In December 2007 started worked as Case Secretary to the Auxiliary Territorial Service Women's RAMC Association Benevolent Fund. She was a Major who never served in conflict, but in Germany, UK and Northern Ireland. On the plinth she is going to release 49 balloons to commemorate her parents' 49th wedding anniversary today and one more balloon for her husband.
