Contains two letters between G S Hide and J B S Haldane dated March 1941 regarding the availability of any vacancies for chemists at UCL or elsewhere, and two letters dated November to December 1941 in which Hide asks if Haldane will act as a referee in support of his application for the post of Temporary Assistant in the Department of Natural Philosophy at St Andrews University.
