Description

Collection of handwritten receipts likely to have been compiled by Whiteway Pharmaceutical Chemist, St Mary Church, Torquay. Contains medical and pharmaceutical recipes including cough mixture, procuring head of a tape worm, how to tone photo prints, silvering brass, micro photography, cutting stencil plates. Also contains cuttings from newspapers of receipts or relating to medical conditions including chronic bronchitis, cholera, smallpox, removing stains and preserving peas for winter use. The book has been compiled from both the front and back with the centre pages blank.
