This item was purchased by the Contemporary Medical Archives Centre in 1986 from S Charlton, who had bought it from 'a gypsy dealer' in Oxford in 1962.
Biographical note
George Hope Warren, MRCS, LRCP (1877-1911), was a general practitioner in Plymouth. Some biographical information about him can be found in the Lancet, 1911, i, 1233, in the report of his death at the early age of 34 as the result of falling from his horse during a route march in which he was participating as a Volunteer in the 2nd Wessex Field Ambulance, RAMC (TF).
