Description
Five diaries kept by David Stafford-Clark. His diary of 1940 and main war diary of 1940-1945 recount his experiences of serving in the second world war. Later diaries record his movements and opinions, as well as rough drafts of poetry. The diary for 1975 includes a loose paper referring to restrictions on movements around Villa Belinda in Cyprus, and a copy of a letter about returning to the Villa following the 1974 Turkish Invasion of Cyprus. He has added later notes to all his diaries.
