Biographical note
The ICM is the only international midwifery organisation having official relations with the United Nations. Representatives are appointed to the regional offices in New York, Geneva, Vienna, Manilla and Brazzaville, and the Confederation works closely with WHO and UNICEF to achieve common goals in maternal and child health care.
