Description

Livre de bonne aventure. Some ornamental initials and capitals in black and yellow, paragraph marks and headings in red. Text within red rules and underlined in red. Illustrated with 12 circular diagrams in colour on ff. 10-15v. The first question (fol. 1) is 'S E aucune persoune sera / mariée en ceste année /', and the last (No. 48) on fol. 2, 'Se aucun viura longuement'. The circles are headed 'Mons', 'Fleuues', 'Pierres', 'Espices', 'Fleurs', 'Oyseaux', 'Herbes', 'Bestes', 'Citez', 'Fruis', 'Poissons', 'Arbres', and are followed by the answers, under the headings of 16 Kings. The MS. is perhaps a copy of an earlier work.
