Biographical note
After the Surrey County Civil Defence Rescue School introduced casualty simulation into its rescue training, increasing publicity led to interest from around the country and in autumn 1942 Eric Claxton wrote Practical Rescue Training for Civil Defence Wardens published 1943. This was followed by Realistic Battle Training for Civil Defence in 1944.
