Inside nature's giants : the giant squid.

Comparative anatomist Joy Reidenberg and veterinary scientist Mark Evans fly out to New Zealand to join a team of experts and dissect a rare specimen of a giant squid. At the same time they also dissect an unusual octopus that lives over a kilometre beneath the waves where there is no light at all. Very little is known about the giant squid as it lives so far down in the ocean but studies of smaller squids reveal it to be a powerful preditor.
