Notes

Grace McGrath was inspired to take part by Gormley's public works and the grandness of the project. She is the first person from Northern Ireland to take part in the project. Being chosen for the project reminded her that life is for living after the death of a brother and a sister. She is on the board of governors at the Linen Hall Library, the oldest library in Belfast and is an archivist for the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland. She is going on the plinth for herself and to promote the Linen Hall Library. She thinks the project is democratising and demythologising art.
