About this work

Description

In Pontecorvo's draft letter to the Principal he explains that he might be interested in the position himself. He again mentions his dismay at the lack of support for a new Chair of Genetics at the University and explains how "I shall have from now onwards to be actively on the look out for posts which will give me a prospect of not starving when I retire. This of course, unless the University acts soon and adequately". Also includes letters from R F Innes of the Sugar Manufacturer Association in Jamaica.
