The file comprises a covering letter from Paton to Olga [Uvarov], 27 April, 1976, listing the numbered documents in the file, with comments. There are seventeen numbered documents altogether, of varying length, nine of which are listed in Paton's letter. "It's rather a bundle, but I thought I should let you have all the papers about cosmetics that I have...." Following these numbered documents are other documents subsequently added by Paton, including 'Conquest: The Research Journal of The Research Defence Society', No.168 (February, 1977), RDS Papers 1 (1975) and 4 (1977), and J D Coombes, 'The use of animals in research' (Hoechst, n.d.).
