About this work

Description

Two glass frames containing minor papyrus fragments. With the exception of two small strips from an account, the hands, where anything at all is legible, plainly indicate that these pieces are all literary. Too little survives to give hope of identifying the texts.

Publication/Creation

Egypt, 6th to 8th centuries

Physical description

Papyrus fragments.; Material: papyrus; 41 papyrus framgents plus some tiny scaps.

Acquisition note

(not after 1994): Acquired by the Wellcome Library or its predecessor the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum.
