About this work

Description

Rather unenlightening studio discussion of the ethical problems posed by the therapeutic implantation of nerve-tissue from aborted foetuses into the brains of mature adults suffering from Parkinson's Disease and severe spinal injuries. Features Prof. Dr. Kjeld Mollgard (Copenhagen), a leading practitioner and judicious advocate of this controversial therapy. The description of the biological basis of foetal tissue therapy and the technical problems encountered in its administration is of considerable interest, but the discussion of the ethical implications of the technique hardly gets going.
