Cutting of "Babel in the Drug Trade," an editorial from The Lancet (14 August, 1943), p. 195. With related TRC memoranda and correspondence.

The subject of the editorial is "the attitude of parts of the [pharmaceutical] trade towards the canons of ethical nomenclature". In passing, reference is made in the first paragraph to the Therapeutic Research Corporation: "Many people had hoped that the industry would have developed along more progressive lines as a result of the war, but it seems to have been exhausted by the effort of producing the Therapeutic Research Corporation, not yet a flourishing offspring."

Also included, advance proof of an article written in response (to the main theme of the editorial), "Exasperating Synonyms," Manufacturing Chemist (September, 1943).
