Acquisition note

This accession of papers was transferred to the Contemporary Medical Archives Centre in November 1983. It had apparently been given to the Wellcome Museum, possibly by Keen's daughter Miss Florence Keen.

Biographical note

Details of Keen's appointments and awards can be found in Who Was Who and other biographical directories. He published many works including Animal Experimentation and Medical Progress, 1914, Treatment of War Wounds, 1917, and Keen's System of Surgery, 8 vols, 1906-1921 (edited by Keen).
