Bundle of loose papers, Items grouped as follows 1) 1901-1903 General Correspondence Ms, typed and copy corresp with: Balfour; representatives of the Egyptian Army; Penton; Currie; Sudan Government Education Office; Johnson; designed examples of the 'logo' for the Library [possibly for bookplates] using a them of Egyptian hierogliphics. 2) 1908-1936 Reports & their publication Inc. 1908-1923 - Correspondence; 1906-1936 copies of the Reports. 3) 1908 Fire Re Fire in May 1908 which destroyed part of the Laboratories, the Library and other buildings. inc. corresp and cables with Balfour. NB no loss of life. 4) 1914-1940 hisotrical notes & press cuttings Inc. re Kitchener memorial; the Floating Laboratory; a list of 'British Friends' of the college. 5) 1930 John Farmer's Report Copies of the report and copy corresp with Balfour, also notes re impact of report on the 'medical service'. 6) 1935-1936 Legal Opinion on Laboratories Inc. letters form N Robin Udal; Wingate; Lyall of MS&Co; Van De Linde - Accountants. Also includes details for the annual report; a photocopy of the Declaration of Trust dated 1905;a typed copy of the Deed Poll 11 Jul 1899 '6' also includes a rare original file cover which indicates that there was an original file structure, but this has long been lost.
