About this work
Description
Future Fantastic is a series of programmes in which The X- Files star, Gillian Anderson, looks at scientific developments which promise to transform life in the next century. Brave New Bodies examines advances in the manufacture of body parts and asks whether we will be able to create a bionic man Or are we bringing to life the story of Frankenstein? One prospective use of this technology is for disabled people, enabling them to gain greater control over their environment by implanting electrodes in the body to create a link between the brain and the mechanised body part.
