Correspondence with Gwyn Macfarlane

Heatley's correspondence with Gwyn Macfarlane mainly concerning the writing of the latter's book Howard Florey: The Making of a Great Scientist OUP 1979, and review of his later book Alexander Fleming: The Man and the Myth, Harvard University Press 1984. Heatley provided research help for the book on Florey. File also covers the reviews of the book (including one by Dr Cowen which led to Heatley's correspondence with the latter, and one by E P Abraham and one by Heatley).

File mainly covers 1977-1986 but also contains one letter dated Oct 1998 from Mrs H Macfarlane to Marcia and Norman Heatley.
