Notes

Quentin Wallace is going to sit on the plinth with his laptop watching the live feed of himself whilst covering his face with a black bit of cardboard with "censored" written on it. It is more of a performance than trying to convey a political message, although he says that maybe it could be interpreted at saying something about the "surveillance" state. He thinks that only a certain demographic will apply to go on to the plinth. For 9-10 months of the year he works for a surveyor, for six weeks he works on the Christmas Markets in Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham and he then tries to go away for a month or so at the start of each year. He was in Sri Lanka at the start of this year and hopes to go back again. He talks a little bit about his work and why he choses to work in the Christmas markets. He choses not to answer a number of questions believing that he has told enough already.
