Biographical note

Cristallin was Librarian to Louis Henri, Duc de Bourbon [1692-1740]. He appears to have made a revised version of his translation in 1712, which is entered as No. 799 in Dorbon's Catalogue of the Library of Occult Sciences belonging to Stanislas de Guaita. Neither version appears to have been printed. The 32 symbolic figures of the original work are not included, but are carefully described and explained by the translator.
