About this work

Description

In the third item on the programme, Quentin Cooper looks at how magnets on a nano scale might revolutionise medicine and drug delivery if drugs attached to magnetic particles can be guided by a magnetic field to exactly where they are needed in the body. Professor Andrew Harrison is faming bacteria that make magnetic particles for their own navigation, while Professor Jon Dobson is looking for other organisms that use magnets and seeing if microscopic magnets on meteorites could be a clue to signs of life on Mars. The first two items on the programme are about species reintroduction.
