Presentation pack of 6 individual stamps (of Darwin, a marine iguana, 4 finches, one of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, a bee orchid and an orang-utan), a miniature sheet of 4 stamps (of a flightless cormorant, giant tortoise, cactus finch, marine iguana and Floreana mockingbird) and a stiffener with a map of the Galapagos Islands and cross section illustration of HMS Beagle, "issued by Royal Mail on 12 February 2009" to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth. Text is by Dorothy Porter including biographical outline of Darwin and small portraits of Charles Darwin, Robert Waring Darwin, Josiah Wedgwood, Thomas Malthus, Alfred Russel Wallace and Charles Lyell.
