Later this year [1998], a new medical research centre is due to open at Addenbrooke's Hospital. Prof. Jennifer Blackwell, a director of the Centre, explains how the new centre will differ from the Molecular Biology Research Centre of the MCR, and the Wellcome Trust CRC Institute in Cambridge, both of which are a partly funded by the Trust.
