About this work

Description

"I started making this coloring book when I found out my dad was sick. I wanted to work on something that wasn't making clothes, because I couldn't bring myself to do my normal work. When I was a kid I used to trace Lisa Frank, Sailor Moon, Xena The Warrior Princess and the Spice Girls using Xeroxed pictures of packaging, folders and other print outs from the internet. It was meditative to me as a very anxious child to trace these wonderful things I loved so much. So I decided to trace some of my favorite photos of my Rebirth Garments models in this time of great anxiety to relax my brain. Nowadays "Adult" coloring books are very popular, and for good reason. I'm glad that things that are great for neurodivergent minds are becoming more widely recognized as being helpful, because accessibility benefits everyone. I've seen a lot of cute queer coloring books, but as always I would love to see more disability representation. this will definitely not be the only coloring book in the Radical Visibility Zine series! Feel free to color outside the lines or cut up this whole book if you want! There are no rules here!"--From inside front cover.
