    REPORT Ninety-one Schools comprising 110 departments are under your care, and in 1918 the average number of scholars on the register was 8892, with an average attendance of 7510. Alterations and Improvements to School Buildings. I am indebted to to the reports of the County Surveyor for the following information ;— Fenstanton.—General repairs. Fletton.—Internal colouring and painting. Somersham.—General repairs. Ramsey St. Marys.—General repairs. Ramsey Heights.—Repairs to pump and general repairs. Ramsey Spinning School.—Repairs to roofs, drains etc , Arrangements adopted for Organization and Supervision. The “leaver” group only was selected for routine examina¬ tion, but all children, irrespective of age, who, in the opinion of the School Medical Officer, the Teachers, or other authorized persons, suffered from any defect were given a special examination. The Reinspections took place as usual. Owing to closures on account of Influenza at twelve schools it was found impossible to hold the usual Autumn inspections. There was no change in the work carried out by the school nurses. No nurse had been appointed at Rameey. At Somersham the district nurse undertook the schools in addition to her ordinary duties. In Huntingdon there were several nurses in succession and the school work suffered in consquence. The Nurses were present at the Medical Inspections, and they also visited the schools at various times and reported upon children whom they considered required attention, and later on “ followed up ” the cases at home.
