Leaflet advertising Tilbury Alterative Water, on sale at Henry Godwin's, in Old Bethlem and Mr. Davis's (purveyor to His Majesty) in St.Albans Street, Pall Mall. It was supposed to cure or aid looseness (diarrhoea?), bloody flux (menstruation?), piles, heartburn, gripes, scorbutic eruptions, pimples, gravel, asthma, consumption and helps coughs and colds when mixed with honey and syrup of maidenhair.
