About this work

Description

Includes a reproduction of a woodcut of Saint William, assumed to be identical with Sant Guillem de la Prada, to whom a church in Llívia is dedicated: he is shown wearing a cardinal's hat and holding the Host (?). The Holy Ghost in the form of a dove descends in the centre. The woodcut is signed in the block "Narcìs Noguera fet". The Catalan text describes how the saint restored the sight of two blind men

Llívia is a Spanish (Catalan) enclave completely surrounded by territory belonging to France
