Notes

Rachael Newberry comes from Wales but lives in Kensal Green in London. She trained as a nurse and worked in intensive care for 15 years, and then became a mature student at the age of 28. She is a post-feminist academic lecturing in English and drama. She is a visiting lecturer at Westminster and Goldsmiths. She is going to clean the plinth to demonstrate the role that women have played in history, particularly in the context of supporting successful men that are remembered through statues and ill be dressed in a feminine style not as a Mrs Mop.
