Notes

Selina Alkan comes from Buckinghamshire. On the plinth she will be raising awareness of the lives of serviceman in Afghanistan. She will be taking up a union flag she has made and has sewn 207 poppies to represent the fallen soldiers of the war in Afghanistan. Each poppy has the name of a fallen soldier. She is at university studying visual communications. Talks about her dad who lives in Kenya and being half Turkish on her mother's side. She would like to go to the States to work.
