About this work

Description

Documentary about the work of Dr. Jam Ghajar (New York Hospital) whose pioneering methods improved the survival chances of coma patients. He discovered that post- accident brain swelling could be more dangerous than the actual injuries and he devised a trauma drill by which brain swelling can be diagnosed and treated as a priority. Several case histories illustrate his methods. Dr. Ghajar and his colleagues now travel the world to educate doctors about the importance of early diagnosis of brain swelling in accident victims and to teach them the North American Head Trauma Guidelines.
