About this work

Description

Notes of lectures on the theory and practice of medicine by Joseph Ager: followed by notes of lectures on surgery by Sir B. C. Brodie, and on the theory and practice of midwifery, by Sir Charles Mansfield Clarke, Dr John Clarke etc. Taken down by an unnamed student. The first set of notes ends 'Finis by Dr. Ager'. The attribution of the lectures on surgery (pp. 271-448) to Sir Benjamin Collins Brodie [1783-1862], and of the obstetrical lectures to Sir Charles Mansfield Clarke [1782-1857] is derived from internal evidence. Produced in London.
