Secretaries of the Bromley Literacy Institute, Kent, relative to a proposed lecture on the "Social and religious conditions of savages" (no.7); a single letter to "Lockyer" probably Sir Joseph Norman Lockyer (1836-1920), astronomer and journal editor, relative to an offer to publish a book written by Sir Davy (no.9); a single note to "Professor Oliver" possibly Daniel Oliver (1830-191), botanist (no.10); several letters to "Ponsonby Fane" probably Sir Spencer Cecil Brabazon Ponsonby-Fane, politician, relative to various matters including an enquiry relating to the lifecycle of the fluke (nos.13, 48, 49); a single letter to Charles Bowyer Adderley, first Baron Norton (1814-1905), politician, relative to the methods of teaching elementary science (no.16); a single letter to [Frederic George] Kitton (1856-1904), illustrator and writer (no.36); a single letter to his daughter, the Hon.
