About this work

Description

These are copies from prints which were originally in the Pontecorvo family album, which is not part of this collection. The originals date from 1908-1929 but the copies were likely to have been made around 1999/2000 to be used in a display for the Pontefest, an event which was held to honour Pontecorvo's life and his contribution to genetics. A decision was made to keep these copies of photographs as it is unlikely that access would be given to the original photographs as the album is with the Pontecorvo family.
