Collection of cookery receipts, with a few medical and household receipts: and some additions by later hands.
On the verso of the first leaf: 'Amy Eyton her Book pris 2s'. On the recto of the same leaf she has written: 'A note of my Close Desem 19, 1691', followed by a list of garments.
A Mary Eyton also seems to have owned the book as she has written inside the upper cover: 'Mary Eyton her Book', and inscribed her name on the inside of the lower cover.
The Eyton entries are in a very illiterate hand, with remarkable orthography.
On the 22nd leaf, starting from the other end of the volume is a medical receipt to cure cancer by means of powdered corns from a gelded horse: this is dated 1738.
The name of 'Mrs Sarah Justice' is found on the last leaf.
