Description

Collection of cookery recipes in a single hand, copied into an account book, The first part of the volume (ff. 1-17r.) contains accounts, apparently relating to taxation in the Linton area of Kent, 1832-35; this is followed by `a receipt for the rheumatism' (f. 17v.) and then numerous cookery recipes (ff. 17v.-35 passim), one date 23 December 1837; at the rear of the book are further accounts, 1835-38, and a recipe for curing hams (ff. 58-62). On ff. 21v.-22r. is a memorandum `Books belonging to S G under my care this date 1838', listing mainly religious works.
