![NEBOUT Original vellum binding. Possibly the author’s holograph MS., or a scribal copy prepared for the press. It is dedicated to ‘ Ranutio Secondo, Duca di Parma : the author describes himself as ‘Palermitano, Cuoco Maggiore della medesima Altezza Serenissima’. No record of him has been traced. Pasted on outside the upper cover is a small printed label inscribed: ‘Raccolta Biaggi. 1987’. [Leopoldo Biaggi [1798-1854] a physician of Padua?]. Purchased 1931. (75864) NASS (Lucien). Original calf binding. ‘De Naxagoras’ has been erased from the title. The first of the last three unnumbered leaves at the beginning contains a pen- drawn symbolic figure, the second is an engraved symbolic plate from a copy of the printed ‘Annulus Platonis’ (1723), and the third a pen-drawn copy of the symbolic ‘Abyssum duplicatum’. An engraved plate of this is inserted loose. Pp. 149-152, 165-188 are by a different and later hand. This MS. appears to be a French version, considerably abridged, of the ‘Ex perientia Naxagorae secundum Annulos Platonicos et Catenam auream Homeri’, first published at Frankfort in 1723.
