Notes

Gary Skinner was born in Camforth, Lancashire and then attended Lancaster University. He taught in Southport, Merseyside and for the last 20 years has lived on the Isle of Wight teaching in an independent school. He now lives in Halifax. He is now retired but continues to train to teach in the UK and overseas working in countries such as Sri Lanka and the Maldives. He independently supports a village in Madagascar where he has friends and is here to raise awareness around poverty in Madagascar and to raise money for the cause. On the plinth he will start talking about Darwin linking into Madagascar which gives huge support to evolution in action. Leaflets will be given out and website address will be advertised.
