Notes

Maya Shamji lives between Stoke Newington and Weybridge. She is of mixed heritage, Lebanese and Indian/Kenyan background. On the plinth she will be making an art installation with lights and glowsticks and will dedicate to her mother who has been ill this year. She has completed a painting degree, then obtained a teaching qualification for art and has recently finished a graphic design course at LCC.
