    Horton. Nine cases.—1 in February, 1 in March, 2 in April, 4 in May 1 in June. HartfordEast. Two cases.—1 in September, 1 in October. HartfordWest. None. Bebside. None. Two cases were removed from Seaton Delaval to the Isolation Hospital. There is a great diminution in the number of cases during the year, only 16 cases were notified as against 46 for 1908. Enteric Fever. (6 Cases). Seaton Five cases.—3 in October, 1 in November, 1 in December. Delaval. Hartley. None. Horton. One case in September. HartfordEast. None. The cases which occurred at Seaton Delaval were found to be due to defective drainage These drains have been put into working order. None of the cases were fatal. All with the exception of one were removed to the Isolation Hospital. The houses, beds and bedding, wTere thoroughly disinfected and in some cases, wThere it was found necessary, the beds were cremated, after the removal of the patients. Puerperal Fever. (2 Cases). Hartley. Two cases.—1 in March, 1 in May. The dwelling in which one of these cases occurred was found to be in a very insanitary condition, and was condemned as being not fit for human habitation. It has since been demolished. This case proved fatal. There was nothing in the surroundings, that could be ascertained, to account for the other case, which however recovered. Erysipelas. (16 Cases). Seaton Delaval. Eleven cases.—1 in February, 1 in March, 1 in April, 1 in May, 2 in June, 1 in August, 1 in September, 1 in October, 1 in November, 1 in December. Hartley. Four cases.—2 in January, 1 in June, 1 in December. HartfordEast. One case in November.
