Description

In the centre the devil holds an open book with the lettering "The lives of all the Sejanuss and their tools"; pictures of an axe and a triangular table are also shown. The obelisk contains the lettering: "Ah nogo resky O Cranon. Crock ... Rogue that thou art". Below the obelisk, a partly nude goddess stands behind a sedentary old man who reads from a book marked "Morality". In the foreground a child with paintbrushes and an easel reads from "The lives of all true honest men" and "On religion". To the left, a figure draws geometrical figures as two others look on.
