Notes

John Pinnington is from Benson in Oxfordshire. He has been falsely accused of assaulting students and has lost his job; he will be drawing attention to FACT (Falsely Accused Carers and Teachers) while on the plinth. He was teaching because he has a son with autism, he therefore does not have a problem with Criminal Records Bureau checks, but does have a problem with false allegations. Putting together his case has taken a lot of time, but he will not give up because he has done nothing wrong. He will be reading the Commons report into falsley accused careers and teacher while on the plinth, or he may read Kafka's The Trial. Since being unable to work he has seen more of his grandchildren and has very supportive friends and family, but he has had bad days. He originally worked as a technical illustrator and went into teaching later.
