Bible, N.T. John 18.13-27. Described in the will of Claudine Bouzonnet-Stella as "La sixiesme [planche], Jésus devant Anne où il reçoit un soufflet" (Blunt, op. cit. p. 746). Only John mentions the role of Annas, the father-in-law of Caiaphas
