Notes

Nicola Wood is from Cookfield in West Sussex. She has written since she was a child, mainly poetry. Her writing has developed with her interest in astrology; she has written a poem for each star sign. She is going to read a selection of creative writing, mainly poetry. She likes astrology because it covers so many character types and gets below the surface. She makes birthcharts, blueprints of people's energy patterns based on the time they were born. Her father was a journalist and writer, and her grandparents and mother were artists. She thinks she unconsciously absorbed the passion for writing from her family; she has had work published and some competition success. She currently works in a hospital in administration. Developing her creative work and expressing it is important to her. She was born in Cookfield and has also lived in Bristol and London. She thinks it is important to be part of someone else's creative vision as well as creating alone. She wearing something bright and sparkly to reflect the different astrology signs. She is doing the project for herself, her family and people who might be interested in astrology.
