Project Summary:‘MUST’ is a performance by the Clod Ensemble in collaboration with US performance artist Peggy Shaw. Accompanied by three live musicians, ‘MUST’ takes a poetic look at what it feels like to inhabit a body for a long time. The piece takes us on a journey around Peggy’s body, imagining it as a landscape where memories and images that shelter in the joints are sealed, and stories and music embedded in layers of bones and dirt are excavated. ‘MUST’ will tour the Edinburgh Festival 2009 and at least four other UK performance spaces and medical schools in spring 2010. ‘MUST’ is produced by Fuel.
