Biographical note

Project Summary:Zombie Science 1Z is a comedy live science show using the fictional horror movie monster, the zombie, as the basis of a mock lecture. By discussing how a zombie outbreak might occur on Earth, what zombies would be like and – of course – how to stop them, it will examine a variety of biomedical topics including genetics, infectious diseases, virology and genetic engineering/modification. Presented by pop scientist Doctor Austin and a collection of science communicators, it will visit Comedy Festivals and Science Festivals across the UK, as well as secondary schools in the west of Scotland.
