About this work

Description

The newsletters vary in style as they develop over the years, but essentially act as surveys of the work of drugs information, counselling and rehabiliation services (mostly) situated in the UK, often reprinting material produced by those organisations in full. The focus is primarilly on 'member agencies'. This includes infomation about jobs as well as associated courses and events. They also describe the broader political and cultural contexts for drug use through editorials, press cuttings and hansard excepts.

In later issues, flyers and leaflets from various organisations are included.

In the individual record entries for the sets of newsletters keywords have been used only when a particular issue has received extensive coverage (i.e. a focused report or article) but a range of themes are discussed across the newsletters and a range of small organisations are featured, including interviews and discussion.
